Mount Serok is 3rd highest mountain in Korea with peak of 1708m. It's beautiful and bit challenging for hike. It took 10 hours to cover distance of 20 KM.
Korea has many national parks. Bukhansan Nationak Park is popular in Seoul. While Seoraksan National Park is popular in eastern part of Korea. It is located near city Seokcho which has popular beach and recently gained attention due to availability of Pokemon go game :)
Since it is a long hike, therefore I recommended to go there one day earlier. You can find suitable hotels and motels in Seokcho city. There is fish market near the sea where you can have fresh raw fish and other sea-food.
As far as I remember we started our hike from Namseorak Information Center (You can see the map below) and went all the way up to the peak!
